Guild Wars Hard Mode: Guardian of Elona 20/20

Canthan-born, the Mesmer learned the mystic arts in Shing Jea Monastery. With training scarcely complete, he joined his master in the desperate battle against the vengeful spirit of Shiro Tagachi. Much was lost and many a tear shed in those dark days but there were great victories, too. The Mesmer would help bring together bitter enemies and unite them against their common foe. With the aid of celestials gifts conferred by the great dragon Kuunavang, the Mesmer would go on to protect Cantha and be known as that land’s guardian.

He travelled then to foreign lands, heeding Tyria’s beseeching plea for help. He battled the Stone Summit in the Shiverpeaks, pitted his skills against the snakemen of the desert, earned the favour of the gods, thwarted the Mursaat at the Ring of Fire before finally putting down the threat of the Undead Lich. He was hailed as a guardian of Tyria at the Nolani Academy.

Hearing of his exploits, the legendary Sunspear Spearmarshal Kormir came seeking his aid in defending her beloved Elona. And so it was that the Mesmer once again set sail for distant lands.

In the heat of the Elonian sun, this proud son of Cantha was set upon by the Kournan army, the returning Margonites and demon hordes unleashed by a mad god. The odds seemed impossible at times as he faced pain, torment and madness but with unflagging resolve, he emerged victorious yet again with the aid of allies old and new. The time of the five gods was ended and he had bore witness to it with his own eyes.

And so it came to pass that a new title was bestowed upon him.
