This hybrid of cobra and scorpion might be the best representation of the Fuzor concept but as a toy, it’s a bit lacklustre. It’s a Basic figure but unlike most five-dollar Transformers, this one actually feels cheap. That’s mainly due to the translucent plastic and the hollow torso.
Like most Transformers from that era, Quickstrike has a gimmick and like most Transformers gimmicks, it’s embarassing. The cobra head can be filled with water which is squirted out when the head is squeezed. I’m sure the prospect of getting slightly wet fills Quickstrike’s opponents with tremendous fear but personally, it elicits nothing more than an “Ehhh … .”
